Sammy Terry On WB4
Topic: Local Celebrities

Local horror host legend, Sammy Terry, returns to Channel 4 once again! Sautrday, October 29th at midnight, he will be hosting Sammy Terry's Scary Tales with an episode called "The Grave of Baby Lester". Evidently, he'll be visiting the ever popular Stepp Cemetery in Morgan Monroe State Forest, in search of the grave of 'Baby Lester' and The Lady In Black who visits the grave. Anyone who is not familiar with this tale can most likely find it in any "Haunted Hoosier Heartland" style book.
He'll be back again on November 5th (same bat-time) with "The Acton Miracle". According to WB4s website, we already missed the October 23rd episode "The Tale of Hampton West". This is a pretty cool twist in the UNlife of this notorious ghoul. Sammy seems to have taken to looking into some of the spoookier Hoosier legends rather than just cutting up between commercial breaks for B-movies. So far, only the three episodes exist and sources are unclear if there will be more.
And by "sources" I mean "whatever I can find on the internet".

Sammy Terry scared the crap out of me when I was a kid. I'm not sure what my parents were thinking letting a 5 year old watch him... I remember his horror re-mix of the christmas classic: "Deck the halls with old dead bodies, fa-la-la-la-la la-la-laaa"

Oh my God. I cant believe I found this site. Sammy Terry used to scare the hell out of me. That creaking coffin door opening, that evil laugh and face... I used to hide behind my dad and cover my ears every Friday night when he would turn it on. Although he scared me, I can appreciate it now... *smiles*

I have fond memories of Sammy Terry growing up. These memories include my brothers and sisters, and my cousin's all gathering around the tv on a Friday night waiting for Sammy Terry to come on. Our Mom's would make us popcorn, (good old fashion kind, popped in bacon grease with butter and lot's of salt). I was telling someone the other day at work about this. I live in California now and am 45 years old, but would love just once to watch the show again. Signed, a true fan.

I WORKED FOR BOB AT FAMILY MUSIC CENTER IN THE LATE 60'S. HE WAS STILL DOING THE TV GIG AND PERSONAL APPERANCES. THIS GUY WORKED ALL THE TIME. NIGHTMARE THEATHER AIRED SEVERAL YEARS AFTER INDIANAPOLIS CHANNEL 8'S SCARY GUY "SELWIN". AT WTTV, THEY WOULD FILM (2) SHOWS ON WEDNESDAY TO BE AIRED EACH FRIDAY NIGHT. THE CREW WERE ALWAYS PULLING GAGS ON HIM, LIKE ROPING THE COFFIN SHUT BEFORE HIS OPENING SCENE WHEN IT WAS TO CREEP OPEN. HE WOULD TELL ME THESE STORIES AS WE WORKED AT HIS MUSIC STORE. BOB, YOUR AN AMAZING GUY. REMEMBER, VAMPIRES NEVER DIE, THEY JUST GET SCARIER WITH AGE.
WITH UTMOST RESPECT, MARK
