Rachel Wolfe

Rachel Wolfe is an Indianapolis native. She is a film buff whose love of movies began when she saw The Sound of Music during its 1978 theatrical re-release—it's the first movie she remembers seeing on the big screen; and afterward, she begged for a governess, to no avail. Rachel prefers movies dating from the early 1930s to the late 1960s, and enjoys them when presented on DVD with a good print, remastered sound, and informative extras.

Rachel is also an avid reader, and one of her resolutions for 2006 is to read more from her own library and stop buying so many books. She will still make time for The West Wing, Lost, and Desperate Housewives. Unlike other IndyScribe authors, she doesn't try to balance out her Entertainment Weekly subscription by also having one to The Economist; screw that. But she is nerdy enough to read Wired, sycophantic enough to read Vanity Fair, and politically concerned enough to read Harper's (sometimes; often it's just depressing).

Rachel was graduated from Indiana University with degrees in Biology and Anthropology; she now has a job completely unrelated to either field. She lived in London for a short while, and is considering offering herself as a mail-order bride in order to live there again someday. She hopes her sugar daddy/golden parachute/lottery win shows up soon, so she can travel the world—dream destinations include Japan, Australia/New Zealand, France, Brazil, or Germany/Austria. And she'll always long to return to the UK and Ireland.

A Democrat, sushi lover, and dog person, Rachel is the shortest in her immediate family.
